  General Notes:

Henry arrived in Galveston, Texas, from Germany on 2 Jun 1848. He was in Burnet County, Texas, on 25 Dec 1852. On 12 Jul 1853 he bought 160 acres in the Cow Creek Section of Burnet County. He served the Confederacy in the Civil War from 26 Aug 1862 until the end of the war in 1865.

At the time of the 1870 census, Henry was farming in Burnet County, Texas. He had real estate valued at $800 and personal assets of $600. He gave his birth place as Prussia. A boy, William Heine, 8 born in Arkansas, was listed with the family after the other children. Also James Colwell, 23 a farmer born in Texas, was listed in his household. At the time of the 1880 census, Henry was a farmer in Burnet County, Texas. He gave his birth place as Saxony. He was granted his citizenship on 6 Oct 1891 in Burnet County, Texas.

At the time of the 1900 census, Henry was a farmer in Travis County, Texas. He owned his farm free of any mortgage. He reported that he and his parents were born in Germany. He had immigrated to America in 1849 (In 1910 he gave the date as 1833.) and was a naturalized citizen. He was still farming in Travis County, Texas, in 1910.

Henry next married Lavina Jane Harris, daughter of George Washington Harris and Joyce Allcup, in 1873. (Lavina Jane Harris was born on 26 Mar 1853 in Missouri,7 died on 28 Aug 1943 in Oatmeal, Burnet County, Texas 7 8 and was buried on 29 Aug 1943 in Oatmeal Cemetery, Oatmeal, Burnet County, Texas 6 7.). The cause of her death was pneumonia and senility.
