  General Notes:

Lavina Jane's parents were George Washington Harris (shown as Heine on the death certificate) and Joice Allcuh. (shown as Joyce Allcup on the death certificate. Son John was the informant.) Her father was probably born in Tennessee (She gave Kentucky one time.), her mother in Tennessee. In about 1862 the family moved from Missouri to Texas and 9 year old Lavina Jane walked behind a wagon most of the way.

By the time of the 1900 census, Jane had borne 13 children with 12 still living. At the time of the 1910 census, she was listed as a farm laborer on the home farm. By the time of the 1920 census,she was widowed. She lived with her son Henry in Burnet County, Texas. According to the census, even at that age she was a farm laborer.
