When he registered for the WWI draft on 12 Sep 1918, he gave the birth date as 24 Jan 1885. He was farming at Travis Peak, Travis County, Texas. He listed his wife, Ozena (Henry) Heine, as his nearest relative. Ozena had previously been married to a Hollingsworth. Her son Cecil Hollingsworth, born about 1907, was listed in his household on the 1920 census. By then they also had Roy L born about 1915 and Helen B. born about 1916. Tom was paying a mortgage to own his home in Travis County, Texas. He was a general farmer. His brother Rudolph was living with him and working for him on the farm.
