  General Notes:

At the time of the 1900 and 1910 census, Thomas was a farm laborer in Travis County, Texas. His birth date was given as Jan 1886 on the 1900 census. When he registered for the WWI draft on 12 Sep 1918, he gave the birth date as 24 Jan 1885. He was farming at Travis Peak, Travis County, Texas. He listed his wife, Ozena (Henry) Heine, as his nearest relative. Ozena had previously been married to a Hollingsworth. Her son Cecil Hollingsworth, born about 1907, was listed in his household on the 1920 census. By then they also had Roy L born about 1915 and Helen B. born about 1916. Tom was paying a mortgage to own his home in Travis County, Texas. He was a general farmer. His brother Rudolph was living with him and working for him on the farm.

Tom married Mable Cox. They had a son Eugene Gray 1927.

He married Linnie Blanch Hall in about 1928. At the time of the 1930 census, they were renting their home on a farm in Travis County, Texas, for $5 a month. Tom was a farm laborer. They had a son Douglas 1930. Their other children were Bessie Lee 1931, James Thomas 1932, Ernest Dale 1934, and Virginia K. 1952.

Social Security also had his birth date as 24 Jan 1885. The 1885 date places his birth unnaturally close to that of his brother Richard. The tombstone transcription at FindAGrave.com has 24 Jan 1886.

Social Security had his last residence as Bertram, Burnet County, Texas.
