  General Notes:

Dr. George Washington Brosius lived in Washington County, Maryland, before they moved to Missouri. The name of his property was Piles Delight, purchased for 539 pounds from Henry Orrendorff by Jacob Brosius on 22 Aug 1793 and recorded 28 Aug 1793. In 1849 or 1850, they moved their family to Gallatin, Daviess County, Missouri, where George was a medical doctor for some 40 years.

He and his children along with Mary Cornelia Mann were the heirs of his father's estate. His stepmother Margaret outlived him so it is not clear if he benefited from the inheritance in his lifetime.
