  General Notes:

Nancy's parents were born in Pennsylvania. Nancy was ill at the time of the 1880 census. Her line is noted "general debility". The 1900 census reported that she had borne 7 children with 6 still living. It is likely that a non family member gave this information because the birthdate information for everyone is marked unknown. There is census evidence for only 5 children in this family. There is a grave for an infant daughter Mary E. at Arlington. The obituary mentions another child as not living. That would make 6 borne, 5 living. That agrees with the obituary.

JOINS HER HUSBAND

Miss Nancy Dunn was born in Belmont county, Ohio, April 14, 1830 and died at her home January 23, 1905, after an illness of ten weeks. She was married to Benjamin Franklin Noble August 1, 1852. To this union six children were born, five of whom are still living--Mrs. Elizabeth Ten Eyck, Mrs. Leanora Moritz, John, Samuel and Edd, all being present at the funeral except Johan, who is living in Detroit, Minnesota. Besides their own family they also reared Mrs. Jennie Enarson of this place and Mrs Jane Bowers of Kearnsey, Nebraska.

Mrs Noble had been a member of the Presbyterian church at Arlington since 1892, and her life was a blessing to the vicinity in which it was spent. She was a kind and gracious old lady whose departure causes sadness in the family and community. The funeral was from the home Tuesday afternoon at one o'clock and the body was buried in the Arlington cemetery beside the remains of her husband who died October 15, 1904. The services were conducted by Rev. JK Driver, assisted by the Arlington Presbyterian choir.

Note:
The foster daughter mentioned in her obituary, Jane Bowers, was buried in Arlington Cemetery also. The FindAGrave memorial there shows a spouse for her as William Walter Farlin and 3 Farlin children. Her tombstone shows Jane Bowers. Memorial# 53273857

The foster daughter mentioned in her obituary, Jennie Enarson, was buried in Arlington Cemetery beside her husband Henry Enarson. The tombstone has the middle initial N. possibly for Noble. The FindAGrave memorial is listed as Jennie Douglas Noble Enarson. She was listed as Jenia Mority on the 1880 census. Two children are linked. Memorial# 53279835
