MRS HENRY TEN EYCK, EARLY RESIDENT OF THIS VICINITY, DIES

(died Feb 2, 1932--handwritten on newspaper clipping)

Mrs. Henry Ten Eyck, 78, a resident of this vicinity seventy-three years, died shortly after noon Tuesday at the home of her sister-in-law, Mrs. S.D. Noble of north of Villisca where she had resided for the last three years.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Fessler & Sutphen funeral chapel, with the Rev. Arthur Mortenson in charge. Burial was made in Arlington cemetery.

Elizabeth Jane Noble, daughter of B.F. and Nancy Noble, was born June 28, 1853 in Fairfield, Iowa. When she was three years old she came to Montgomery county with her parents and settled on a farm north of Villisca. She lived the rest of her life in Villisca and vicinity, with the exception of two years spent in Minnesota.

On November 11, 1903, she was married to Henry Ten Eyck who preceded her in death on January 28, 1928.

She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Lea Moritz, of near Villisca, her sister-in-law, Mrs. S.D. Noble, and several nieces and nephews in this vicinity. She was a member of the Presbyterian church.
