  General Notes:

Mary Viola and Elnora Elizabeth, who married William Herman Wall, were sisters. Therefore, 2 sisters married 2 brothers and all their children were double cousins. Their parents were Thomas L. Denniston and Frances Ann Franklin.

She was always known as "Mama Wall" to the community. Besides bearing 14 children, she also raised 2 orphan children listed in her obituary as Mrs. Coy Miller (Kathlene "Kiddo" Cox) & Mr. J.B. Cox.

1900 census list her birth as 1885. Her age was given inconsistently through the census years. She was listed as 24 in 1910, 36 in 1920, and 48 in 1930. By the time of the 1910 census, Viola had borne 5 children with 4 still living. Between the reports given by Viola and Nora over the census years of 1910, 1920, and 1930, it is unclear where their parents were born. They alternately gave Texas and Missouri for both of them. Their father consistently gave Texas as his birth place. Their mother gave Missouri as her birth place all except one time.

Funeral Services Held for Mrs. T.B. Wall
This county lost one of its pioneer women last week in the passing of Mrs. T. B. (Mary Viola) Wall at her home in Marble Falls. She was a native of Burnet county and was born in the Double Horn community where she and her husband, the late T.B. Wall, made their home for years before moving to Marble Falls. They raised a large family of boys and girls who are now respected citizens with families of their own.

Mrs. Wall led a very active life all through her years up until a few weeks ago when illness struck. She was affectionately called "Mama" Wall by all her friends of this area. The good that she did on this earth will live on and on.

She was a member of the Marble Falls Methodist church and funeral services were held in that church last week on Friday with the Rev. J. P. Manley officiating. A large number of sorrowing relatives and friends were present to pay their last respects to this good woman. Her husband preceded her in death in 1948.

Survivors include: five daughters, Mrs. Angeline Duncan, Marshall; Mrs. Ileen Whitehead, Austin; Mrs. Ina Atchison, Euless; Mrs. Iva Fuller and Mrs. Bea Ruth Sauer, Marble Falls; six sons, Carlyle, Sherman and Bill of Marble Falls; Raymond of Buckholts; C.F. of Baytown and T.B. Wall Jr. of Austin; three sisters, Mrs. W. C. Williamson, Mrs. Will Wall, Mrs. C. E. Lewis all of this area; one brother, Rob Denniston, Double Horn; two foster children, Mrs. Coy Miller and Mr. J. B. Cox, of Dallas.

Also surviving are 23 grandchildren, one foster grandchild and 31 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were: Wallace Riddell, Tom O'Donnell, Skinner Matern, Hugh Crownover, Pete Crider, Norman Jackson, Harry G. Nelson, James Cockrell.

Interment was in the City Cemetery under direction of the Clements Funeral Home.

It was impossible for the editor to be present at the wedding at the home of Tom Denniston last Sunday, but we enjoyed some of the wedding cake just the same.
