General Notes:
When August registered for the WWI draft he stated that he was a farmer working for H.C. Bunte of Smithville (his father). At the time of the 1930 census, August was renting his home on a farm in Bastrop County, Texas. He was farming a general farm. His age was 29. He had married at 20.
He was living in Alum Creek, Texas, in 1942. He was living in Bastrop, Texas, in 1955.

(Sallie Louise Barnett was born on 17 May 1903 in , Fayette County, Texas,9 died on 29 Jul 1950 in Alum Creek, Bastrop County, Texas 9 10 and was buried on 2 Aug 1950 in Oak Hill Cemetery, Smithville, Bastrop County, Texas 9.). The cause of her death was epileptic convulsion probably due to cerebral aneurism.7
