Clarissa moved with her family to Antlers in 1891 where she attended school and graduated from high school and later attended Barnes Business College in Denver. She lived with her husband Claude George on their ranch on Rifle Creek until retirement in 1958, when they then moved to Rifle. She was a member of the Christian Church, charter member of the Rifle Creek Extension Club and also a member of Jane Jefferson Club and the Christian Women's Fellowship. 5
