Ruth was born and raised on Rifle Creek attending Rifle schools and graduating from Rifle High School. She took her nurses training in Denver and upon completion of her schooling in 1938 went to work at Children's Hospital in Denver. She was working at Children's when she and Bob were married. She worked at many of the hospitals in Denver and mainly on special duty nursing jobs. They moved to Colorado Springs for a short time and then back to Denver. In Sep 1956, they moved to Ft. Morgan where she worked for a number of years in the Ft. Morgan Hospital, as her health permitted. She had Lupus and was involved with the Colorado Lupus Foundation. The doctoring of the Lupus and associated arthritis took its toll on her health. She was a member of the First Methodist Church and the Colorado Nurses Association. ⁴

Ruth married Robert B. Loose on 9 Nov 1938 in Denver, Denver County, Colorado. (Robert B. Loose was born on 6 Oct 1917 in Fort Morgan, Morgan County, Colorado ⁵ and died on 28 May 2000 in Sun City, Maricopa County, Arizona, United States ⁵.)
