   Cause of her death was suffocation, noted by coroner as a suicide.6

  General Notes:

In the early 1950's, Mary was a stenographer at San Angelo Medical & Surgical Clinic, San Angelo, Tom Green County, Texas.

"Mary died under suspicious circumstances and the case was left open in the Texas files. A logical explanation of the case is outlined in the personal journal of my life." Herbert W Brosius 1999.

Mary died 7 weeks after her divorce, just days after she returned to Texas from a visit to her family in Colorado. She had lived in San Angelo, Texas, for 17 years prior to her death.

Mary B. Head Funeral Services are Held Monday

Services for Mrs. Mary Brosius Head, 42, were held at the Center City Baptist Church, in Center City, Monday, June 2, at 2 p.m. Officiating were Rev. Dale Gore, pastor of the Goldthwaite Baptist Church and Rev. Lewis Sparkman.

Burial was in the Center City Cemetery under the direction of Roy Wilkins Funeral Home.

A member of the First Baptist Church in San Angelo, Mrs. Head died last Tuesday, May 27, at her home in San Angelo. She was born October 4, 1926 in Rifle, Colorado, and moved to San Angelo in 1952. She married Elvin H. Head March 5, 1946, and was employed as a secretary to the Division Manager of the General Telephone Directory Company.

Survivors include three daughters, Rose Lee Head, Lubbock, Sheila Ann Head, and Linda Kay Head, San Angelo; her father, D. H. Brosius [J. H.], Rifle, Colorado, and one brother, H. W. Brosius, Grand Junction, Colo.

The following employees of the General Telephone Directory Company were pallbearers: Troy Lee, Bill Hall, Robert G. Buchholz, Joe Gannon, Charles A. Eiken and Paul E. Schewe.

Card of Thanks

We wish to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to the friends and neighbors for words of sympathy, cards, and beautiful flowers. The delicious food and each kindness shown us in the loss of our loved one. A special thanks to Rev. Gore for the scripture read, the prayers, and words of encouragement and comfort. Thanks to Lewis Sparkman for the part he rendered in the services. Also for those who sang the beautiful songs. To Roy and Rachel Wilkins and their staff for their every kind and loving services.

Mary married Elvin Hulen Head, son of Faira Madison Head and Johnnie Clay Reid, on 5 Mar 1946 in Rifle, Garfield County, Colorado.1 (Elvin Hulen Head was born on 1 Nov 1921 in Goldthwaite, Mills County, Texas,10 died on 24 Oct 1991 in Big Spring, Howard County, Texas 10 11 and was buried in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens, San Angelo, Tom Green County, Texas 12 13.). The cause of his death was cardiopulmonary arrest, static post cardio infraction, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.6
