  General Notes:

When Robert registered for the WWI draft and at the time of the 1920 census, he was farming for his father C.F. Wall in Burnet County, Texas. The newspaper reported on 17 Nov 1918 that he was called up for his physical examination. He did not have to serve however.

At the time of the 1930 census, he was married with 2 children. He had married at age 21. He owned his home on a farm in Burnet County, Texas. He was farming a general farm.

In Jan 1946, Robert declared his intention to run for commissioner in precinct 4 of Burnet County after learning that Mr. Shifflett was not standing for reelection. He had planned to cease farming his land and devote his entire time to the office of commissioner.

Robert was primarily a stock farmer. He had served on the board of the A.S.C.S. in Burnet County. He was a lifelong resident of Spicewood, Burnet County, Texas. He was a member of the Spicewood Baptist Church.

Social Security had his last benefit as Burnet, Burnet County, Texas, and his last residence as Marble Falls, Burnet County, Texas. The mail was delivered out of Marble Falls at that time, but the actual residence was in Spicewood, Texas.

Robert married Inez M. Naumann, daughter of Friedrich August Naumann and Isabella E. Krause, on 26 Dec 1920 in Spicewood, Burnet County, Texas.1 2 (Inez M. Naumann was born on 2 Sep 1895 in Corwin, Burnet County, Texas,12 died on 3 Jan 1970 in Burnet, Burnet County, Texas 10 12 and was buried on 4 Jan 1970 in Rockvale Cemetery, Spicewood, Burnet County, Texas 12 13.). The cause of her death was possible myocardial rupture, acute myocardial infarction.
