Rosie Marie Head
God received Rosie Marie Head at age 73, on Sunday, July 20, 2003, in Hendricks Hospital in Abilene, Texas, at 5:25 p.m.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elvin H. Head, who passed away in 1991.
She is survived by one brother, Lee Gauwain of Carlsbad, Texas; and six children, Joyce McGee of Big Spring, Texas, David and Audrey, Frank and Val Disman, all of Huntsville, Texas, Edith and Jimmy Teague of Breckenridge, Texas, and Ray Disman of San Angelo. There are 15 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Head was born April 3, 1930, in Bay City, and moved to San Angelo as a child. She worked at the Dunbar East Restaurant for 22 years. Rosie Head has survived two marriages, Fillmore Disman who preceded her in death January 1970, after 20 years of marriage. She was married to Elvin Head March 26, 1971, for 20 years when he passed away. Many loved Rosie; she lived a full and bountiful life. Many will miss her. Rosie is now with her God and all the loved ones who have gone before her. One of her favorite pastimes was fishing; she and Elvin will be forever together in ever lasting eternity enjoying each other.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
