Breta Rose Head Breta Rose Head of the Caradan Community in Mills County, died Friday, December 8, 2006 at Coryell Memorial Hospital in Gatesville, Texas. Breta died following a long battle with cancer. She was 58 year of age.
Breta was born July 6, 1948 at Uvalde, Texas, the daughter of Carl and Josephine (Haggerton) Evans. On May 4, 1968 she married Ronnie Head at Caradan, Texas. Breta was a member of the Center City Baptist Church. She had served as a Sunday School teacher and was Treasurer of the church. She was a Certified Nurse Aide with Mills County Home Health from where she received her ten year service pin.
Breta was preceded in death by her parents and her sister-in-law, Marlene Evans of Ballinger. Survivors are her husband, Ronnie Head of Caradan; her son and his wife, Robert and Melissia Head of Caradan; and granddaughter, Lilly Head, also of Caradan. She is also survived by four brothers and their spouses, Roy Evans, of Ballinger, Albert and Janita Evans of Mullin, Jimmy and Kathy Evans of Priddy, and Carl Jr. and Sibyl Evans of Goldthwaite.
The funeral was Sunday, December 10, 2006 at the Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home Chapel, Goldthwaite, Texas. Officiating at the service was Paul Blake. Interment was in the Center City Cemetery, Center City, Texas.
Pallbearers included Edward Evans, Shannon Evans, Daniel Evans, Dusty Norwood, Darrell Wayne Head, Conan Wall, and Jason Lee.
