Breta Evans Final Rites Held Mar. 17
Breta Evans of Nordheim, Texas passed away Saturday, March 14, 1992 at Yorktown Manor Nursing Home. She was 94 years of age.

Breta Evans was born July 9, 1897 at Bandera, Texas, the daughter of Thomas F. and Mathilda (Shockley) Allsap. She was a homemaker. She married A. E. Evans on May 22, 1916 at Bandera County, Texas.

Mr. Evans preceded her in death in 1983. She had lived in Nordheim since moving from Priddy, Texas in 1983.

Survivors are two sons, Harry Evans of Nordheim and Carl Evans of Goldthwaite; six grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and ten great great grandchildren.

The funeral was Tuesday, March 17, 1992 at 2:00 P.M. from the Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home Chapel in Goldthwaite. Rev. Ray Ricker and Rev. Jack Vaughn officiated at the rites. Burial was in the Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery, Goldthwiate, Texas.

Pallbearers were Ronnie Head, Robert Head, Jeff Norwood, Albert Evans, Shannon Evans, Jimmy Evans, Roy Evans, and Jr. Evans. ⁶

Breta married Albert E. Evans, son of Lemuel Melson Evans Jr and Ada Pearce, on 22 May 1916. (Albert E. Evans was born in Dec 1896 in Texas,⁷ died in 1983 and was buried in Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery, Goldthwaite, Mills County, Texas.)
