When Harmon registered for the WWI draft on 12 Sep 1918, he was an auto salesman for Gorman Motor Company in Joplin, Jasper County, Missouri. His wife, Grace, was his nearest relative. Harmon married Grace Hamilton, daughter of E. P. Hamilton and Lillian, on 29 Dec 1913 in Paris, Lamar County, Texas.1 (Grace Hamilton was born on 14 Aug 1890 in Fredonia, Wilson County, Kansas,8 died on 23 Jan 1949 in St. Joseph's Hospital, Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri 8 and was buried on 24 Jan 1949 in Carthage, Jasper County, Missouri 8.). The cause of her death was carcinoma of esophagus, broncho pneumonia.
