At the time of the 1870 census, George was a farmer in Haynes, Graves County, Kentucky. He had real estate valued at $1500. His son William worked on the farm with him. They along with George's father in law John Bailey Anderson, wife Nancy N. Eaker Anderson and seven children, Mary (with husband, George Washington Brosius and son William Albert), William C. Anderson, Michael Harmon Anderson, John Bailey Jr. Anderson, Ellen Anderson, Isham Osborn Anderson and Emma D. Anderson, moved to Fannin County Texas circa 1859 and bought a farm 2 1/2 miles east of Honey Grove.

The cause of her death was probably of a heart attack.
