Miss Clara Sears and Eugene Whitman Taylor were married at St. Barnabas Church yesterday. Rev. Charles Marshall performing the ceremony at high noon.

The wedding was quite formal, the bride wearing her traveling gown of dark blue cloth with hat to match. She came down the aisle with her mother, Mrs. Jasper P. Sears, proceeded by her sister, Miss Lydia Sears, who was her only attendant. Mr. Taylor with his best man, Roy Mantel, met the bridal party at the chapel steps. The church was prettily decorated, the Easter ornamentations still being in place, as fresh and lovely as the day before. Jacob O. Solat, the organist, played the wedding march from Logengrin. The church was crowded with the friends of both families and after the ceremony wedding breakfast was served to immediate friends at the home of Mrs. Sears, 1430 Detroit St.

Mr. and Mrs. Taylor left last evening for Chicago, where Mr. Taylor will continue newspaper work, joining the staff of the Inter Ocean-Denver News, April 9th.

By the time of the 1910 census, Clara had borne 2 children, both living. Her husband died in 1915. At the time of the 1920 census, her children were living with her sister Margaret in Denver, Colorado, and she was in Washington, DC, working as a magazine and newspaper writer. She rented her apartment on M Street NW. At the time of the 1930 census, she was living with her children in Tennis Apartments,Forest Hills, Queens County, New York. She was a writer of stories.
