Social Security had his last residence as Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas. Death 15 Jan 1970 Texas Death Index and the death certificate had it as 9 Jan 1970 Tarrant County. Mrs. Ruth Head was the informant on the death certificate. She gave his mother's first name incorrectly as Catherine.

The cause of her death was adenocarcinoma of left adrenal gland with metastasis to the surrounding tissue.⁵
