  General Notes:

Sarah was listed as niece with Sampson Head in 1880 census. She was listed as niece again in the 1900 and 1910 census with Sampson's son Allison Head.

She lived out her last years in the household of Allison and Susan Head along with Allison's cousin Daniel Clowdus.

Excerpt from "Johnson County History":

A teenager, D. E. (Elihu) Clowdus, a cousin of the Heads, drove one of the ox-drawn covered wagons from Alabama to Texas. He made his home with Ben Head. Together they owned a very large section of land. Ben willed his part to a spinster, Miss Sallie Head, and after Ben's death in 1925 (at 82), Miss Sallie and Elihu willed their property to each other. Clowdus lived a year longer than Miss Sallie and he willed all the property to the Methodist Orphans Home at Waco.

Sarah was buried next to Mary Catharine Head and in the same plot as John Jasper Head. Daniel was also buried in that plot.

She's gone to worlds above,
Where saints and angels meet,
To realize our Saviours love,
And worship at His feet. ⁵
