Mrs. W. E. HARPER
Mrs. W. E. Harper died at her home in this city Monday, Feb. 7, 1944, and was laid to rest in the Goldthwaite Cemetery on Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock. Services were conducted at the Goldthwaite Baptist Church by the pastor, Rev. D. A. Bryant, assisted by Rev. Cullen Hawkins of Bangs and Rev. Perry Johnson of Mullin.

Mrs. Harper was born in Virginia on June 16, 1872, and was 72 year and 8 months of age at the time of death. She moved to Texas in 1822, and united with the Baptist Church at an early age. She was a member of the Goldthwaite Baptist Church.

Mrs. Harper is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Luther Soules of Goldthwaite, Mrs. J. D. Giles of Gainesville, and Mrs. Rex Mahan of Mullin; five sons, Burton, John, S. F., and Woody of Anton and J. B. Harper of Brownwood; a sister, Mrs. E. C. Theriot, Dallas; and 21 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. 3
