The Texas Birth Index record has the name as Lena Mattie Bunte. She was listed as Mamie with an age of 4 on the 1910 census. On the 1920 census, she was listed as Willie M, son, with an age of 15. (Her brother Willie was listed just above her and sister Ida after.) She was a laborer on the home farm. She used Wilhelmina on her son Bryson's birth record. Husband Earl Hardee gave her name as Wilhelmina Lena Hardee on her death certificate.

She worked as a clerk at a five and dime store. Their home was on a farm 7 miles northeast of Smithville in Bastrop County, Texas.

Wilhelmina married Earl Hardee, son of C. Edgar Hardee and Sallie Roe, on 7 Sep 1921. (Earl Hardee was born on 15 Oct 1895 in Smithville, Bastrop County, Texas,^{6 7 8} died on 28 Mar 1976 in Bastrop, Bastrop County, Texas ^{6 7 9} and was buried on 29 Mar 1976 in Oak Hill Cemetery, Smithville, Bastrop County, Texas ⁷.). The cause of his death was massive CVA due to ASHD.⁵
