He then moved to Green Castle, Pennsylvania for 17 years. At the time of the 1880 census, Emanuel was a hotel keeper in Green Castle, Franklin County, Pennsylvania. He then moved to Hagerstown, Maryland for two years. He then moved to Martinsburg, West Virginia for one year and then moved to Mont Alto, Pennsylvania.
