General Notes:
At the time of the 1900 census, Ellen had been married 24 years and had given birth to 6 children, 3 were still living. Two were listed with the family. In the 1910 census, the couple reported that they had been married 38 years. Ellen's daughter Mary and her family were listed with them. After Robert died in 1925, Ellen went to live with her son Frank and his family in Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas.
Ella married William H. Lewis, son of William C. Lewis and Elizabeth Brosius, on 21 Feb 1861 in , Daviess County, Missouri.1 2 (William H. Lewis was born about 1842 in Maryland.)
Ella next married Robert Berry Brosius, son of Samuel Brosius and Ann Maria Caw, on 18 Oct 1875 in Gallatin, Daviess County, Missouri.3 4 (Robert Berry Brosius was born on 18 Dec 1839 in , Morgan County, Virginia,4 15 16 died on 2 Apr 1925 in Boonville, Cooper County, Missouri 16 and was buried on 4 Apr 1925 in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Boonville, Cooper County, Missouri 16.). The cause of his death was apoplexy.
