She was working as a farm laborer on the home farm in Fayette County, Texas. Social Security and the death certificate had her last residence as Port Arthur, Jefferson County, Texas. She had been living in Cresthaven Nursing Home in Groves, Jefferson County, Texas, for 4 months before her death. Social Security showed the death date as 15 Aug 1969, but marked as verified with a family member, not proven by a death certificate. Schmidt was born on 17 Nov 1877 in Houston, Harris County, Texas,11 12 died on 9 Aug 1957 in Port Arthur, Jefferson County, Texas 11 13 and was buried on 10 Aug 1957 in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves, Jefferson County, Texas 11.). The cause of his death was combined heart failure, senility and diabetes mellitus.9
