FUNERALS TODAY

HALLEY CHESTER SCHWARTZ, 85, 2 p.m. at the North Main Church of Christ with Travis Akins officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery under the direction of the Winters Funeral Home.

HAILEY CHESTER SCHWARTZ, 85, of Winters passed away Thursday, March 25, 2010. He was born August 21, 1924 in Ballinger and was a lifelong Runnels County resident. He married Verlon Pumphrey on December 8, 1944 in Ballinger. He served in the U. S. Army during WWII. He was a farmer and rancher and a member of the Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife Verlon Schwartz of Winters; 3 daughters: Linda Jones and husband Paul of Abilene, Jan Jordan and husband Jim of Winters and Kay Braddick and husband Don of Burleson; 1 brother; R.C. Schwarta of Burnett; 2 sisters; Peggy McAnally of Winters and Imagene Mickey of Abilene; as well as 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the North Main Church of Christ with Travis Akins officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery under the direction of the Winters Funeral Home.

The family asks that memorials be made to Hospice of the Big Country or the American Diabetes Association.
