Obituary

Sidney Ray Stapleton was born June 12, 1941 in Marble Falls , TX to W. H. (Sammy)
Stapleton and Ruby Chaney Stapleton. He moved to his eternal rest on September 12, 2015, surrounded by his family members. Sidney is survived by his soul mate of forty two years, Priscilla Stapleton, by two sons Kirk W. Stapleton and wife Linda of Spicewood, TX and Keith A. Stapleton,wife Lesley of Driftwood, TX, one grandson, Jakob Stapleton. Brother, Cecil Stapleton and wife Mona of Marble Falls, one sister, Kay Gibson and husband, Gary Gibson of Austin, TX. Other survivors include Step-sons Marshall Wier of Ericson, Ne. and Blane Wier of Johnson City, TX. Grand children include Lariat Wier of Johnson City, TX, Roy Wier and family of Lisbon, Iowa, Kati Wadas and Family of Ord, NE., Leighton Wier of Portland, OR, Burt Wier, Bill Wier, and Bradley Wier all of Marble Falls, TX. and Marisela Narvaez of San Antonio, TX.

Sidney loved his family, his friends, fishing, golfing and living in the country near Marble Falls.
He graduated from MFHS in 1959. By profession, Sid was a welder and worked in construction.
He was a patient, peaceful and loving man of strong convictions. He lead by example and always took responsibility for all of his commitments.

Graveside services will be held at Marble Falls City Cemetery on September 16, 2015 at 2:00 pm.
Honorary Pallbearers include his golfing buddies: August (Lightning) Herrington, Billy Foster, Cecil Stapleton, Wayne Rattiseau, and Brent Minnix. 3
