MRS. TOM PERRY SUCCUMBS TO HEART ATTACK
Funeral services were held in Columbus Funeral Home Friday morning for Mrs. Tom B. Perry, Rev. H. L. Anderson officiating. Burial was in Odd Fellows Rest cemetery. Mrs. Perry died in Columbus hospital Wednesday following a heart attack that afternoon. The former Gladys Obenhaus was born in Beene, Gonzales County; Dec. 5, 1904, daughter of Percy and Sophie Scheller Obenhaus. The family moved to Glidden when Mrs. Perry was a small child and have lived there since. In 1926 she was married to Tom Perry, who died in 1957. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran church and the Mary-Martha. She is survived by her mother; 3 sisters, Mrs. Juanita McDaniels of Italy, Texas, and Mrs. Waldine Stein and Mrs. Lois Wallace of Glidden; and 2 brothers, Jake Obenhaus of San Marcos and Willis of Houston, and 13 nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Edgar Besch, Owen Miller, George Linck, Jr., Dr. Charles Moeller, Ellis Ilse and Joe Wesley Wegenhoft.
