He was living in Highland Park, Texas, in 2008.
Timothy Wynn Nesbitt, known by everyone as Tim, was born on May 27, 1961, in Knoxville, TN. He had a commanding presence that was softened by his kind, generous, and caring heart. Tim passed away suddenly on the morning of July 15, 2023.
Tim was a proud graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University, where he received his Bachelor's degree in Finance. He used his extensive knowledge to make an impressive career in various areas of finance, notably in loans and mortgages.
He is survived by his loving wife Kelly of 39 years, his children Caleb Nesbitt of Denton TX, Mallory Nesbitt of Highland Village TX, and Marjorie Gusyakov (Husband Igor) of Lumberton TX, grandchildren Bryan & Vera Gusyakov and Austyn Nesbitt. His brother Todd Nesbitt & wife Beverly of Winona MS and sister Gay Miller & husband David of Houston TX and many nieces & nephews, cousins and Uncle Mike Nesbitt & Trina Smith of Bryan TX also were blessed to be part of Tim's extended family. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Stan and Von Nesbitt of Houston TX, grandparents William Bon (Big Daddy) and Margie (Big Mamma) Nesbitt of Houston TX and Lawton & Jewel McBeth of Gatesville TX.
Tim was known for his remarkable ability to calculate complex financial figures in his head, an indication of the brilliant mind behind his friendly demeanor. His thunderous voice, filled with love and laughter, was a staple of every football season, making his expert commentary and occasional snores a cherished family tradition.
In his relationships, Tim stood as a beacon of kindness and generosity. His unique gift of conversation allowed him to make instant connections, and he often declared that he never met a stranger.
Tim had an undying love for breakfasts with his group of older friends at Mama's Daughter's Diner on Saturdays and Angelina's Mexican restaurant on Wednesdays. He was also a loving pet owner, despite initial opposition, showering affection on the family dogs, Deacon, and Buster.
Tim was ordained as a deacon in 1990 at Second Baptist Church in Houston TX and continued to faithfully serve at Second Baptist Church in Corpus Christi TX before moving to Lewisville. Tim and Kelly joined First Baptist Church of Lewisville in November of 1998 where they were blessed to see all three of their children make professions of faith. Tim served in many areas throughout the years and truly had the heart of a servant. He was a frequent counselor for children's & youth summer camp over the years and there are many fond memories of children lining up so Mr. Tim could "blob" them into the lake. Tim's spiritual commitment and active role in the congregation will be deeply missed.
On Friday, July 21, 2023, a celebration of Tim's life will be held at the First Baptist Church of Lewisville at 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations in Tim's honor to A World Vision: Ashton Rae Woods Foundation. Donations can be made through the organization's website http://AWorldVision.org or venmo: @aworldvision
Remembering Tim, we picture him sitting in his favorite porch swing relaxed and filled with joy sharing heartwarming conversations with those who greeted him and worshiping his Savior. His deep voice, kind spirit, and love for life remain imprinted on our hearts and minds, reminding all who knew him of the gentle giant who touched their lives. 2
Timothy married Kelly Gayle Adair, daughter of Glen Dale Adair and Wilma Lois Free.
