Joyce Deloris Reid was born May 22, 1915 in Star, Texas and passed from this life on January 26, 2004 in Mesquite. Mrs. Reid was preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty years Samuel Raymond Reid, son Sammy Gale Reid, daughter Linda Janell Reid, brothers Donald Wright and Oran Wright and sisters Leone McNeany and Gilma Mahoney. She is survived by son Jerry Reid and his wife Linda, daughter-in-law Shirley Reid, grandchildren Gale deLeeuw and her husband Bert, Bruce Reid and his wife Sher, Gary Reid, Brian Reid and his wife Tammy, Teresa Hobbs and her husband Frank and Greg Reid and his wife Lisa, fourteen great grandchildren and seven great great grandsons. Visitation for Mrs. Reid will be at Laurel Oaks Funeral Home Wednesday January 28 from 9 AM to 9 PM and Thursday January 29, from 9 AM to 9 PM with the family receiving friends from 6 PM to 8 PM. Graveside services for Mrs. Reid will be Friday January 30, 2004 at 1:00 PM at the Hurst Ranch Cemetery in Star, Texas with Reverend Ted Kiser officiating.
