Herman used the birth date of 13 Sep 1894 on his WWI draft registration. (His twin Sherman used 13 Sep 1893.) When Herman registered for the WWI draft on 5 Jun 1917, he was employed by J. A. Blair in Snyder, Scurry County, Texas. (job illegible) He had a wife and one child and claimed an exemption because they were dependent on him.
