Cause of his death was heart attack. He suffered from widespread metastasis due to cancer of the GI tract (liver)..5

When George registered for the WWI draft, he was a traveling salesman for Kemper-Fair Milling Company of Tonganoxie, Kansas. He was married and claimed an exemption for the support of his wife. They lived in Carthage, Jasper County, Missouri. He had undergone surgery for double hernia, but wasn't experiencing any disability.
He lived in Sarcoxie, Missouri. He was a manager of a mortgage loan company. His usual residence recorded on the death certificate was Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas. He had been as Leisure Lodge, Midland, Midland County, Texas, for just one day before his death. George Jr's wife was the informant on the death certificate. She gave his father's name as William. Social Security had his last residence as Midland, Midland County, Texas.
