Laura's parents were born in England. Her father was a mining engineer. By the time of the 1900 census, she had borne 5 children with 2 still living. By the time of the 1910 census, Laura had borne 6 children with 2 still living.

Obituary
Laura Frances Rouse Brosius, aged 85 years, of Mont Alto, died at 11 p.m. Tuesday at the Waynesboro Hospital. She suffered a fracture of her left leg six weeks ago in a fall at her home. She was brought to the Waynesboro Hospital where she had been critically ill for the last two weeks.

Her husband, Dr. William H. Brosius, died 21 years ago.

She was born in Mont Alto, the daughter of Joseph and Ann (George) Rouse and lived there her entire life.

She had made her home with her son, Glenn W. Brosius, since the death of her husband.
She was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church of Mont Alto and the Sunshine Circle Class of the Sunday School. She was also a member of the Ladies Aid Society.

Surviving are a son and a daughter, Glenn W. Brosius and Mrs. Ira L. Shenefelt, both of Mont Alto. Four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.

The funeral will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. from the Grove Funeral Home in charge of Rev. Charles R. Miller. Interment will be made in Rose Hill Cemetery, Mont Alto.
Friends may call Thursday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Laura married Dr William Hayes Brosius, son of Emanuel Brosius and Jane A. Hayes, about 1888.
