When Nolan registered for the WWI draft on 12 Sep 1918, he was a farm laborer for his father at Double Horn, Burnet County, Texas, and listed his mother as his nearest relative. His address was Marble Falls, Burnet County, Texas. Nolan was renting his home on a farm next to his father in Burnet County, Texas, at the time of the 1930 census. He was a general farmer. He had been married one year to Vertie Belle (Conn) Berry.
He later married Mary Catherine Cleveland and had Claudie Nolan Jr 1940, Virginia Ruth 1942, and Mary Marlene 1946. His wife was the informant on his death certificate.
