![]() General Notes: Amelia came to America from Germany in 1885 according to the 1930 census. She arrived in New York and came to Texas by train. Her two brothers, Julius and August Kauss and a sister Pauline Kauss, were already in Texas. Amelia and August stayed in the Blanco County area. Their parents were Andre Kauss and Rosie Kiesner, both born in Germany. She first worked for the Goeth Family at Cypress Mill, Blanco County, Texas. ![]() Amelia married Gustav Siewert on 12 Jun 1887.
