According to her death certificate, her parents were Joe Gomth and Elizabeth Liueh, both born in Germany. Lizzy Luetge was the informant. On her marriage license, her maiden name was shown as Kohlholm in one place and Gompel in another. Her age was shown as 36 on the 1870 census, 48 on the 1880 census. The birthplace for herself and her parents was given as Prussia on the 1880 census. She was shown as age 73 on the 1900 census. By the time of the 1900 census, she had born 7 children with 4 still living. She immigrated to America in 1848.
