Cordelia's father was born in England, her mother in Ireland (Irish Free State). By the time of the 1900 census, she had borne 3 children with all still living. On the 1910 census, she reported that the marriage to Emmet was her second. She had borne 4 children with all still living. Cordelia's 1915 Iowa state census card showed she had 6 years of common school education. She was Christian. After her children were grown and they had moved to California, Cordelia took a job. At the time of the 1920 census, she was a tailoress in a tailor shop in Los Angeles. At the time of the 1930 census, she was a seamstress working from her home in Los Angeles.

Delia married Emmet Alvis Noble, son of Samuel Noble and Mary Jane Shipler, about 1889. (Emmet Alvis Noble was born on 18 Aug 1850 in Albia, Monroe County, Iowa ⁷ and died on 30 Dec 1936 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California ⁷.)
