  General Notes:

When they were first married, Virgil and Gladys rented in the home of Arthur and Maude Talbott. They were of appropriate age and birthplace--Illinois--to be her parents, but she was listed under Virgil as wife rather than as part of the Talbott household and perhaps daughter.

Gladys was listed on the 1920 census as a lodger in the home of Anna Combs in Pacific Junction, Mills County, Iowa. She was divorced. She had married at 18. She was the manager of a restaurant.

Gladys married Virgil B. Faulkner, son of Frank L. Faulkner and Lulu Swickard, about 1920. (Virgil B. Faulkner was born on 26 Mar 1899 in Illinois,³ died on 18 Dec 1972 ³ and was buried in Ozarks Memorial Park, Branson, Taney County, Missouri ⁴.)
