At the time of the 1920 census, Virgil was a switchman for the railroad. He was very recently married to Gladys. He rented part of the home of Arthur and Maude Talbott in Centralia, Marion County, Illinois for $20 a month. I couldn't find him in the 1930 census, but Gladys was listed as divorced. She was listed without children.
Virgil was in Colorado in 1952--his social security card was issued there. Social Security had his last residence as Branson, Taney County, Missouri.
