Charles R. "Charlie" Head
Charles R. "Charlie" Head of Goldthwaite, Texas passed away Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Goldthwaite. He was 84 years of age.
Charlie was born May 3, 1932 in Center City, Texas to Chester Clint Head and Lena Casbeer Head. He married Shelba McCurdy on August 6, 1955 in Goldthwaite, Texas. He was a Baptist and made his living as a Supervisor at 3M. He served his country in the United States Air Force. He graduated Star High School in 1949. His hobbies included gardening, fishing and playing dominoes.
The family wants to send a special thank you to Dr. Timothy Rudolph and the Hillview Manor Staff and residents.
Graveside services were held Monday, August 1, 2016 at Center City Cemetery, Center City, Texas. Dallas Huston officiated. Interment followed.
Pallbearers included Ronnie Beard, Wesley Schmidt, Jr., Ed Sanders, Robert Hunt, Darrell Wayne Head and Wayne Coffman.
Survivors include his wife Shelba Head, Goldthwaite, Texas; children and spouses Jan Anderson & Carlos, San Saba, Texas, Tammy Clifton & John, Goldthwaite, Texas, Wesley Head & Kim Edwards, Goldthwaite, Texas, Jesse Head & Sheila Summers, Comanche, Texas; grandchildren Jimma & Dustin Busenlehner, Will & Sarah Broyles, Kyle & Kelly Anderson, Wade & Mandy Clifton, Walt & Courtney Clifton, Karen Jo Clifton, Krystal & Randy Bolt, Gary Head, Travis Head, Halee Head, Svannah Head & Emma Head; 16 great grandchildren; brother Gary Head & Barbara, Goldthwaite, Texas; niece Allison Head, Goldthwaite, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester Clint Head and Lena Casbeer Head.
