Ray Blackburn
Ray P. Blackburn, 82, of San Angelo died Sunday, Oct. 18, 1998, in a local hospital. Service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with the Rev. John Joiner and Robert Webb officiating. Burial will follow at 4 p.m. Cedar Hill Cemetery in Abilene. He was born July 24, 1916, in Abilene. He was a member of Harris Avenue Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Lola Blackburn of San Angelo; a son, Bill Blackburn of Van Alstyne; four sisters, Evelyn Fuqua of San Antonio, Pearl Mathis of Houston, Ann Sterling of Sugar Land and Doris Knight of Houston; a brother, Spurgeon Blackburn of Tyler; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
