Augusta H. Prevost, 86, a native of Cameron, Texas and resident of Houma, died at 5:59 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, 2007. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Religious service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Matthews Episcopal Church, with burial in Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Curtis J. Prevost Sr. of Houma; four sons, Curtis J. Prevost Jr. and wife, Patricia, of Houma, Ronald J. Prevost Sr. and wife, Patti, of Denham Springs, Thomas A. Prevost and wife, Linda, of Frederick, Md., and David A. Prevost and wife, Susan, of Houma; two brothers; four sisters; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Heintze Sr. and Mary Koch Heintze; one brother; and two sisters. She was a homemaker and a parishioner of St. Matthews Episcopal Church.
Augusta married Curtis John Prevost Sr on 23 Oct 1943 in Cameron, Milam County, Texas.
