He rented his farm. In 1910 he was listed as widowed. At the time of the 1930 census, Albert was living with his daughter Lena Lewis's family in Vernon Parish, Louisiana. He was a farm laborer. He was a member of the Christian Church.

The cause of her death was brain and spinal affection. A contributory cause was rheumatism.
