In the name of God Amen, I William Woolsey of Bedford in the Co. of Westchester and State of New York being in good health and sound disposing in and memory yet calling to mind the uncertainty of life, do make and ordain this my last will and testament Whereby Revoking all others, and first I order and direct my Executors herein after name to pay all my just debts and funeral expenses out of my monies I may have on hand at my decease or such any may come into theirs, arising from the sales of such property as is hereinafter directed to be sold. I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Jerusha and her heirs all my Household furniture also I give her in lieu of her right of dower the use and interest of one thousand dollars during her natural life. I order and direct my Executors to sell at auction or otherwise to best advantage all my Estate both Real and Personal not already hereinbefore disposed of and the monies arising from such sales distributed in legacies in the following manner. First to my son Hiram Woolsey and his Heirs one thousand dollars to be paid by my Executors in one year after my decease; second I give to my son Charles Woolsey or rather exonerate him and his heirs from the payment of two obligations which I hold against him viz one of five hundred and the other of one hundred and seventy dollars together with all the interest which may be due thereon. Third I give and bequeath to my son John Woolsey and his Heirs one thousand dollars to be paid by my Executors in on year after my decease. Fourth I give and bequeath to my grand daughter Emily Ofelin and her heirs daughter of Charles Wright, one hundred dollars to be paid by my Executors when she shall arrive at the age of eighteen years. Fifth I give and bequeath to my grand daughter Mary Jane and her heirs daughter of Charles Wright, on hundred dollars to be paid by my Executors when she shall arrive at the age of eighteen years. Sixth I give and bequeath to my grand son George Wright and his heirs son of Charles Wright one hundred dollars when he shall arrive at the age of twenty one years of age to be paid by my Executors. Seventh I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Woolsey and her heirs one thousand dollars to be paid by my Executors in one year after my decease. Ninth I give and bequeath to my grand son William Woolsey son of my son John Woolsey and his heirs two hundred dollars to be paid by my Executors when he shall arrive at the age of twenty one years. Tenth all the residue of my estate I give and bequeath the one half to my son Hiram Woolsey and his heirs and the other half to my son John Woolsey and his heirs. Finally I nominate constitute and appoint my two sons Hiram Woolsey and John Woolsey, Executors of this my last Will and Testament. In witness where I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this sixteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty four.
