In the name of God Amen I Richard Woolsey of Bedford, Westchester County and the State of New York, being weakly in body but of perfect mind and memory, Thanks be given unto God, calling to mind the Mortality of my body, and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die to make and address this my Last Will and Testament, that is to pay principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul into the hands of almighty God that gave it and My Body I recommend to the earth to be buried in decent Christian Manner at the discretion of My Executors, nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the Mighty Powers of God, and as touching such worldly Estate wherewith it has pleased God To Bless me in this life I give, demise and dispose of the same in the following manner and for me firstly make Daniel Woolsey of New Paltz (Polk) and James Griffin of Fishkill the sole Executors of this My Last Will and Testament. I give and bequeath to Sarah my well beloved wife all My Estate during her life and after the decease to be divided in the following manner, first I give to my eldest son Thomas ten pounds New York money the rest of my Estate I give to my three daughters that is Ruth, Sarah and Hannah to be divided equally between the three, and I do hereby utterly disallow, revoke and disannul all and every other former Testament will Legacy bequeath and Executors by Me in any ways before Named, Willed and Bequeathers Testifying, and Confirming this and no other to be My Last Will and Testament for Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Twentyfirst Day of April in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and Seventy nine.
Signed, sealed, and published, pronounced, and declared by the said Richard Woolsey as his Last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in the presence of each other have hereto subscribed our names.
