At the time of the 1880 census, Frank was a farmer in Black Hawk (Post Office Fairfield), Jefferson County, Iowa. An 18 year old female servant (name illegible) was listed with the family as was Frank's brother Wilson shown as a servant.
At the time of the 1900 census, Frank was operating the Fairfield House. He rented his home in Fairfield, Jefferson County, Iowa. William Fitch, an uncle born Mar 1841 in Maryland, was listed in the household. Also 5 male boarders, 4 of whom were railroad laborers, were listed.

News has been received in the city of the death of Frank Noble, which occurred at his home in Ogden, Utah on Sat., Sept. 25....He has resided here during the greater part of his life, until he went west only four years ago. Several of his relatives still live here, among them his daughter, Mrs. Fuqua. Mr. Noble will be remembered by many as the proprietor of the "Windsor Inn" which formerly stood upon the present site of the Court Hotel, and as landlord of the Windsor he endeared himself to many patrons of the hotel as well as to other friends. The body will arrive in the city sometime today and arrangements will be made for the funeral.
