At the time of the 1930 census, Georgia was working as a stenographer for a wholesale fruit company in Grand Junction, Mesa County, Colorado.

Mrs. U. H. Dyer, 73, of 911 Santa Clara Ave., died at 8:35 p.m. Saturday in Mesa Memorial Hospital. She had been ill for five years.

A resident of Grand Junction for 70 years, Dyer was born Georgia L. Armstrong at Rifle on Sept. 8, 1892. She attended Grand Junction schools, graduating from high school and Ross Business College. Her first husband was Charles Setzer. They married in 1916 and he died three years later in Tacoma, Wash. She later married Mr. Dyer in Grand Junction.

Mrs. Dyer was employed as a secretary at the First National Bank for many years, retiring in 1960. She was a charter member of the First Congregational Church.

Surviving are a son, Jack Setzer; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara L. Stevenson, both of Denver; two sisters, Mrs. Peggy Stewart of Leadville and Mrs. Edith Ray of Grand Junction; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Social Security had her last residence as Grand Junction, Mesa County, Colorado.
