Della was born November 8, 1923 in Mullin, Texas to Thomas Dan Goodwin and Mae Delle Burkett Goodwin. She married Delmer Don Geeslin on September 1, 1945 in Brownwood, Texas and Della Geeslin lived in Mills County most of her life. She was a homemaker and was affiliated with the Church of Christ.
Services were held Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home Chapel, Goldthwaite, Texas. Dayton House officiated. Interment was at Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery, Goldthwaite, Texas. Pallbearers included Brian Geeslin, Michael Geeslin, Trey Horton, Tyler Horton, Jeff Greenway, Andy Howard and Joe Leverett.
Survivors include her children, their spouses and their children: Linda Miles & Elam, Goldthwaite, Texas and their children and spouses Shelley Horton & Jimmy, Keri Biehl & Chris, Mitzi Elderton & Bill; Kent and Neta Geeslin, Goldthwaite, Texas and their children and spouses Brian Geeslin, Michael Geeslin, Kristi Leverett & Joe, Craig Auldridge, Jenny Amonett & Aaron; Mark Geeslin and Kathy, Goldthwaite, Texas and their children and spouses Karen Greenway & Jeff, Kimberly Howard & Andy, Sherry Almand & Clint, Chris Lee & Laramie; and 26 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas Dan Goodwin and Mae Della Burkett Goodwin; husband Delmer Don Geeslin; sisters LaJuana Ivy & Berylene Beck.
