She was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Fort Smith, Arkansas, a den mother for the Boy Scouts and a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Gary; a daughter, Lacresha Moore of Fort Smith; two sons, Jeramy Huggins of Barling and Caleb Huggins of Fort Smith; her mother, Edna Rasco of McKinney, Texas; two sisters, Sandra Pyle of Lipan, Texas, and Ginger Sisco of Carrollton, Texas; and four grandchildren.

Julie married Gary Don Huggins, son of Burtis Estle Huggins and Jeanne Mary Gladman.
