Nelda Dawn Jobe 1929 - 2004
Nelda Dawn Jobe, 74, died Monday, Sept. 20, 2004, at a local nursing center after a brief illness. Funeral: noon Friday in Laurel Land Chapel of Chimes, 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth, with the Rev. John Clifford of Epworth United Methodist Church officiating. Burial: Tuesday, Sept. 28, in Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth, with her parents, John Barton and Lora Belle Dennis Head. Visitation: The family will receive family and friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Guardian Funeral Home, 5704 James Ave., Fort Worth.
Nelda was born Oct. 8, 1929, in Ranger. She worked many years at Garden Terrace Nursing Home and a was longtime resident of Graham before retiring and moving to Arlington with her daughter and son in law, Cathy and Bob Brown, and her grandchildren in 1989. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, John Barton and Lora Belle Dennis Head, and brother, Dalpha "D.G." Head of Fort Worth.
Survivors: Daughter, Cathy and husband, Bob Brown, of Arlington and grandchildren, Laura, Melissa and Robert "Bobby" Brown Jr. and Lexanne Fuentes of Arlington and Michelle Kwiscinski of Milwaukee, Wis., and great-granddaughters, Rebecca Dawn, Miss Rorey Brown and Hunter Fuentes of Arlington; son, Rickey Jobe and grandchildren, Jamie, Susan and John Jobe and Marvin Stokes, and seven great-grandchildren; son, Johnny Jobe of Granbury and daughters, Stacey Jobe Nees of Austin and Wendy Jobe of Granbury, and great-grandson, Ramsey of Granbury; and brothers and sisters in law, Odean and Betty Head of Houston and Eldean and Marcey Head of Fort Worth. _________________________________
Final rites for Nelda Dawn Jobe, 74, of Arlington, and relative to several Granbury residents, were held Friday, Sept. 24, 2004 in Laurel Land Chapel in Fort Worth. Burial will be Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2004, in Laurel Land Memorial Park. She was born Oct. 8, 1929, in Ranger. She was a longtime resident of Graham and later moved to Arlington. She died Monday, Sept. 20, 2004 in Arlington. Survivors living in Granbury are Johnny Jobe, Wendy Jobe and Ramsey Jobe.
Nelda married Horace Stephen Jobe.
